Residence in Harbor Springs, Michigan

Currently being constructed on the shore of Lake Michigan, this house is as long as the site would allow so that all living areas and bedrooms will have a view of the lake. The house is anchored to the land by the ledge rock and the strong horzontal lines. The large sheltering roof, which would cause the interior to be dark, is instead illuminated by a continuous clear ridge-skylight and frosted glass overhangs. The screened porch also has a frosted glass roof.
