This steep mountain site proved a challenge for the owners require that the entire house, with the exception of a theater/media room, be on one level. The resulting design has the house built around a central courtyard, which will be a sculpture garden, while the curved hall to the bedrooms and study will be an art gallery. The arched ceiling of the great room, with its broad overhang, looks out at the mountain to the south.
